Arcade Music Game “Neon FM” Now On Mobile
After over a year in beta, it’s finally here!
BALTIMORE, Maryland, April 28, 2017 (Unit-e Global)–The arcade music game Neon FM has now been ported from arcade to mobile, and it’s free to play! Unit-e partnered with Andamiro (creators of the popular arcade dance game Pump It Up) for the arcade relase, and they’ve also provided music for the first time on mobile. Andamiro is joined by a ton of artists and labels, including the popular label Monstercat and solo artists such as Virtual Riot and Carpenter Brut (of Hotline Miami 2 fame).
The game features over 130 tracks, unlimited free tracks on a weekly rotation, and–in an industry first–real-time online multiplayer between both mobile devices AND arcade units. The app also can log players into Neon FM arcade units, and has a machine locator function that helps players find a Neon FM machine near them. High score charts remain separate between arcade and mobile. The game is also localized (by humans!) in 12 languages, including English, Japanese, Spanish, and Russian, among others.
Players earn experience by playing tracks, which gains them levels, badges, unlocked tracks, and tokens for continued free play on most of the songlist. The top players and songs are also ranked on the official website (https://neonfm.com). The game is monetized through a coin system, where players can choose to watch videos, complete offers, or buy coins directly. The coins can then be used for single plays of tracks, purchases of songs & song packs for unlimited play, or to unlock extra features.
The game currently has a 4.5* rating on the App Store with 84 ratings, and a 4.76* rating on the Google Play store with 226 ratings. It was featured in the #1 position on the USA App Store in the Games->Music category for the week of April 20, 2017, as well as multiple positions internationally on the App Store and Google Play.
